ArtCar + ArtBike Parade announces July parade plans

Car lovers will attest that vintage cars, souped-up trucks, and roaring motorcycles are works of art. It will take no stretch of the imagination to extend such plaudits to the vehicles of Minneapolis ' ArtCar and ArtBike Parade , which celebrates its 30th parade later this month.

Of course, many of the parade's mainstays parade around town all year, but on July 27, the most beautiful, outlandish, tongue-in-cheek, and spectacular art cars come together to cruise around Lake Harriet from 5–6 p.m.

Art cars and art bikes will line up along the Lyndale Park Rose Garden at 4 p.m. with the parade officially kicking off at 5. The organizers suggest grabbing space around the garden or along the lake to get a view of the cars.

There will also be a picnic with Bread and Pickle at the Lake Harriet Bandshell as well.

Afterward, fans can get up close with the artists and their unique creations. The cars and bikes will park along the Rose Garden from 6–7 p.m.
