If you're a fan of the Replacements or Twin Cities radio personality Mary Lucia, you owe Mary Lou Westerberg a debt of gratitude — or, at the very least, a moment or two to check out her obituary.

Published Saturday in the Star Tribune , the obit quickly got the attention of social media users for its no-nonsense, offbeat descriptions of Westerberg's life and personality:

Westerberg, née Philipp, was the mother of Replacements lead singer/songwriter Paul Westerberg and longtime DJ Mary Lucia. According to her obituary, she was also a daily crossword enthusiast and dedicated Twins fan who played piano, loved shrimp Rangoon and autumn apples.

    But that's not all.

"Her greatest love in life was baseball," the obit, written by one of her kids, reads. "Though none of us have taken a DNA test, the possibility that some of her children might be fathered by the Boston Red Sox's Ted Williams remains a running joke":

She was a complex woman of great strength and a strong will. She referred to The Wizard of Oz and It's a Wonderful Life as sentimental fantasy crap. At the time of her passing she had active crushes on Rudy Gobert, Byron Buxton, and some dude whose name we don't know from Dancing with The Stars.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hal, and her eldest daughter Anne Ellingson.

A memorial service is set for Friday, July 12, 11 a.m. at Incarnation Church in south Minneapolis.
