Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeves is on the receiving end of some heavy backlash following her team's loss to Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Sunday.

Reeves, who also serves as the head coach of the USA women's basketball team, has faced criticism from Clark's supporters following the organization's decision to leave the WNBA All-Star off the Olympics roster.

With that being said, those same fans didn't hold back in criticizing Reeves, especially after the Fever took down her Lynx squad 81-74.

"This comes from a USA Olympics coach about the fans my lord what a sore loser. You’re supposed to be a professional coach. Well your team lost today Cheryl Reeves I don’t know why your the head coach of the Olympics when your deep feelings are just rude and not necessary," a social media user wrote.

"17 pts 6 asst 3 rebs in one of her worst offensive games. And an ankle breaking viral highlight in front of Cheryl Reeves," another fan noted, referring to how Clark struggled in the game but was still able to impress as she helped the Fever beat the Lynx.

"Cheryl Reeves said she didn’t want Caitlin on the Olympic team cus she never won in the trenches with her. Today she went into the house Maya Moore built and got a big dub in the trenches," a Clark supporter furthered.

"Coach Reeves is one of the most hateful women towards Caitlin Clark in the WNBA. And she just lost to her," another social media user shared.

Clark also reportedly stared down Reeves during the game, a moment that gave some satisfaction to other fans after Team USA's snub of the Fever rookie.

"Caitlin Clark staring down Reeves is the most G thing she could’ve done. Such a boss," a commenter said. Another one chimed in, "Staring down Cheryl Reeves' hating a** like that gave me serotonin."

While it's not the best of games from Caitlin Clark--she finished with six turnovers and went 5-of-17 from the field en route to 17 points and six assists--there's no denying that it's still a statement victory for the Fever.
