WNBA rookie sensation Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever took down the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday in front of a sold-out Target Center. Afterwards she had some kind words about the Minneapolis crowd.

Clark has had success at the Target Center as she won the Big Ten conference tournament title in each of the last two seasons at Iowa, bringing her career record to 7-0 at the arena.

"It's a great venue, Target Center is awesome," Clark said. "When I was here in college, people were lined up overnight to try and get in the door, they just love women's basketball, this city supports women's basketball."

She had an up-and-down game on Sunday but finished with 17 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 turnovers on 5 of 17 shooting from the field.

The Big Ten product is averaging 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game this season as she is battling the Sky's Angel Reese for WNBA Rookie of The Year honors.

She and the Fever will return to the Target Center for an August 24 matchup against the Lynx.
