The Sound Unseen Film + Music Festival may be months away, but we're getting a dose of music and movies this week with The Who's rock opera, Tommy , and a screening of the Arthur Russell documentary, Wild Combination.

Here are five movies, including those two, to catch around the Twin Cities this week.

    Tommy (1975)

Thursday, July 18 at The Parkway

The Who's experimental album became a rock opera starring the band's Roger Daltrey, as well as noted pinball backbox star Elton John. The Parkway plays the campy pinball and music classic with — what else? — a pinball competition before the film. Litt Pinball Bar provides the games, The Who provide the music. The Parkway Theater, 4814 Chicago Ave., Minneapolis ($9–$12)

Wild Combination: A Portrait of Arthur Russell (2008)

Friday, July 19–Saturday, July 20 at the Walker Art Center

To call Arthur Russell eclectic unsells his, often unrecognized, genius. Russell was a cellist, composer, experimenter, disco producer, and pivotal piece of New York's experimental music world during his life, creating and championing music that spanned genres. The moving 2008 documentary chronicles his influence, music, and AIDS-related death in 1992. Walker Art Center , 725 Vineland Pl. in Minneapolis ($15)

    Eega (2012)

Wednesday, July 17 at the Trylon Cinema

Trash Film Debauchery presents a weird, weird Indian film where Nani (Ghanta Naveen Babu aka Nani) is murdered by a powerful businessman. Naturally, his post-human life revenge is complicated when he's reincarnated as a fly. T he Trylon, 2820 E 33rd St, Minneapolis ($5)

    Oldboy (2003)

Sunday, July 21–Tuesday, July 23 at the Trylon Cinema

There are two camps on Oldboy: Those who have seen it many times and those who haven't seen it yet. The bloody, shocking modern classic has been remade by Spike Lee (meh) and will soon be turned into a TV series by director Park Chan-wook. But it's hard to imagine anything can come close to the original. More than two decades after its release — credited with being a pivotal catalyst in the South Korean Film Renaissanc e — it still manages to stun. A new restoration will be presented at the screening. T he Trylon, 2820 E 33rd St, Minneapolis ($8)

    Clue (1985)

Saturday, July 20 at Lake Harriet Bandshell

Park workers remain on strike , but Movies in the Park carry on. On Friday, the goofy board game adaptation — starring Tim Curry, Eileen Brennan, Christopher Lloyd, and the late Martin Mull — will be screened at Lake Harriet. Lake Harriet Bandshell, Minneapolis (free)
