Things are changing at Kim's in Uptown Minneapolis .

Just weeks after workers at Chef Ann Kim 's restaurant won a union election , the restaurant has decided to end lunch service and close its basement Bronto Bar beginning Aug. 1.

"Due to a decline in business, we've decided to end weekend lunch service and close Bronto Bar indefinitely so we can concentrate our efforts on dinner service in our main dining room," a representative for Vestalia Hospitality, which operates Kim's, tells Bring Me The News . "We encourage the community to join us for dinner and support the restaurants they love."

The restaurant's new hours will be 5–9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

While employees encouraged diners to support their union drive by coming to Kim's for dinner or drinks, the restaurant has faced other challenges including disruptive construction along Hennepin Ave. and vandals breaking a storefront window in early June.

Representatives for Unite Here 17, the union that represents Kim's other Twin Cities hospitality workers, did not respond to a request for comment.
