An Afrofuture reimagining of The Sound of Music , Hamilton 's Mandy Gonzalez, and former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern are just a few highlights from the O'Shaughnessy's newly-announced 2024-25 season .

The St. Catherine University theater's season includes concerts, theater, dance, discussions, and stand-up comedy, as well as the return of its Bonnie Jean Kelly & Joan Kelly Distinguished Visiting Scholars Lecture Series, which includes an evening with the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Caste: The Origin of Our Discontents , Isabel Wilkerson.

Ardern, who won global plaudits for her leadership of New Zealand during the COVID crisis, which had one of the lowest death rates in the world and also oversaw the banning of military-style weapons in her country, will participate in a moderated conversation at the theater on Mar. 7, 2025.

Other highlights include two nights with Ananya Dance Theatre's "Antaranga: Between You and Me," a performance set "in a world in deep crisis." (Sound familiar?)

Humorist and storyteller Kevin Kling will host two nights of stories, including a holiday-themed event in December titled "Kevin Kling and Friends: Tales from the Charred Underbelly of the Yule Log."
