It's time to pretend you're the martini-willing, lord of the manor in a Merchant-Ivory film.

The American Swedish Institute 's adults-only Cocktails at the Castle returns on Sept. 14. The annual event brings live music, Nordic-inspired art, and, of course, cocktails to the institute's historic Turnblad Mansion.

The theme for the 2024 installment is "Country House Party," inspired by the ASI's Karin Larsson: Let the Hand Be Seen exhibition, which is on display through Oct. 27.

Guests can wander the ASI's Minneapolis campus taking in an ABBA drag show, palm readings, mini golf, a weaving demonstration with the Minnesota Weaver’s Guild, pop-up activities, food, and drinks while socializing in the yard or exploring exhibitions. There will also be live performances from LAMAAR, Pit Stop, and Claire Doyle throughout the night.

The event takes place on Sept. 14 from 6–11 p.m. Tickets are $50 for the general public and $45 for ASI members. VIP tickets, which include a drink and access to a VIP lounge, are $100.
