‘Survivor’ Open Casting Call Announced for April 4

Do you have the drive to be on a future season of “Survivor” ? Now in its 46th season on CBS, the popular reality show brings together dynamic people from a variety of backgrounds to compete for the title of sole survivor. WCCO is holding an open casting call April 4 at the Twin Cities Auto Show (get it?) at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Participants will get 1 minute to audition and must be a United States citizen living in the U.S. and at least 18 years old. The casting call runs 4-9 p.m.

Details on WCCO’s website include waivers and instructions, but also tips on auditioning and being authentic during the interview process. Authenticity was a major reason Minnesotan Carolyn Wiger advanced to the finals on season 44 and is her trademark. Three Minnesotans were part of the starting cast that season.

It’s not the first time “Survivor” has held casting calls in Minnesota, and rumors that “Love is Blind” is currently filming in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis mean some of our Bold North personalities get a bit of star power. And with the introduction of “Deal or No Deal Island” on NBC, it appears mash-ups of various reality shows are next. So audition now for “Survivor” before it turns into “Survivor: The Voice” or “Surviving America’s Got Talent.”
