Guitar legends Joe Satriani and Steve Vai’s musical careers have been intertwined for nearly five decades when Satriani was Vai’s guitar teacher during their teenage years on Long Island, New York. Their music paths have overlapped ever since and the pair is on tour now in support of their new release, “The Sea of Emotion, Pt. 1,” which debuted in March.

A free Armenian wine tasting kicks off each concert.

From his early years as a graffiti artist in the New York City subways to later career as public muralist and activist, Keith Haring’s playful, line-driven, brightly colored works are instantly recognizable. A major exhibit of the artist’s paintings, drawings, and sculptures opens at the Walker this weekend with its democratized message.

Classic Cars

What: Cars and Caves

Cars and Caves at the Chanhassen AutoPlex is back in 2024. Starting in April, more than 300 vehicles are on display inside the personalized garage condos (referred to as Caves) on the last Saturday of every month through September and benefits a local non-profit organization.

Duluth Sounds Celebrated

What: ‘Til Beth Do Us Part’

This comic romp about marriage and relationships focuses on character Suzannah and her husband, Gibby, as Suzannah’s new assistant, Beth Bailey, has strong opinions on the couple’s household. Performances include lunch before the Wednesday and Thursday shows, and dinner on Fridays and Saturdays.

Craft Show

What: “Firsthand: Contemporary Craft in Context”

The University of Minnesota’s Goldstein Gallery of Design, which is a research center in the U’s College of Design and the only design museum in the Upper Midwest, opens this new exhibit featuring more than 75 items showcasing leather shoes, woolen knitwear, thrown pottery, ceramic tiles, and youth-built boats.
