Al Reszel left the Florida Keys on March 23, kicking off his seventh cross-country journey and solo bicycle ride in support of his wife Terry, a breast cancer survivor, the namesake of Pink Pedals 4 A Cure - Terry’s Ride, and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Since the 23rd, Reszel has pedaled through Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ontario Canada, Wisconsin and Minnesota where he ended his 51 day journey in Albany, MN on Mother’s Day, May 12th. Over the entire course of the ride, Reszel rode through 12 states and two countries, traversing 4,100 miles. Like last year, Al & Terry Reszel have decided to end the 2024 ride in their home state of Minnesota, allowing them the opportunity to share the culmination of the 2024 ride and tremendous effort with their family and friends in the region. At the end of the 2024 ride, Al Reszel will have logged 24,400 miles in the saddle of his bike, closing in on 24,901 miles which equates to the earth’s circumference.

For years now, Al and Terry Reszel have been crisscrossing the country with the goal of raising awareness and donations for breast cancer research. Their organization, Pink Pedals For A Cure - Terry’s Ride, was founded in 2016 and their sole donations benefactor is the BCRF. This will be the seventh time Al will complete an extended multi-state solo bicycle ride for the BCRF. An amazing feat when you consider that Al Reszel is 65. Since 2016, Al and Terry have traveled 20,100 miles and raised over $60,000 for breast cancer research.
