    Minnesota stations get five nominations in Marconi Radio Awards

    The finalists for the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Marconi Radio Awards were announced on Aug. 1, and a handful of Minnesota personalities and stations are among the finalists.

    Here are the Minnesotans up for the prestigious radio honors.

    Large Market Personality of the Year:
    Jason Matheson & Alexis Thompson of MyTalk 107.1 (FM)

    Large Market Station of the Year:
    MyTalk 107.1 (FM)

    Best Radio Podcast of the Year
    “Purple Daily," SKOR North (KSTP-AM)
    “Garage Logic," (KSTP-AM)

    AC Station of the Year:
    KS-95 (KSTP-FM)

    MyTalk

    Last year, KDWB took home Large Market Personality of the Year for The Dave Ryan Show, and KSTP won Large Market Station of the Year.

    Other 2023 nominees included KEEY's Chris Carr, Kia Becht and Sam Sansevere for Large Market Personality of the Year; KCLD's Kat and J.J. Holiday and KZPK's Kelly and Wood for Small Market Personality of the Year; Crookston's KROX and St. Cloud's KZPK for Small Market Station of the Year; WCCO for News/Talk Station of the Year; and KFXN for Sports Station of the Year.

    The 2024 winners will be announced on Oct. 9 at the NAB Show New York.
