Former President Donald Trump unleashed on Minnesota Governor Tim Walz — calling him a “dangerously liberal” Democrat who would bring “hell on earth” by opening borders to criminals and would “light TRILLIONS of dollars on fire” with environmental policies as vice president.

The scathing attack came via email to supporters just moments after it was announced that Democratic nominee Kamala Harris selected Walz as her running mate for the 2024 presidential campaign.

With signature caps lock in place, Trump wrote: “TIM WALZ WOULD BE THE WORST VP IN HISTORY! Even worse than Dangerously Liberal and Crooked Kamala Harris – HE’S THAT BAD.”

The Republican continued: “He’ll unleash HELL ON EARTH and open our borders to the worst criminals imaginable. He’ll rubber stamp Kamla’s GREEN NEW SCAM and light TRILLIONS of dollars on fire. But the real killer: he’s already pulled in MILLIONS in dirty cash to buy the White House!”

The email finished with a plea to supporters to “chip in” and support his campaign.

By selecting 60-year-old Walz, Harris is bringing a Midwestern governor, military veteran, and former schoolteacher into the fold, aiming to bolster support among blue-collar, white voters in the Rust Belt.

Walz spearheaded a progressive transformation of Minnesota during his second term as governor, following the Democrats’ takeover of the state government in 2023 — a blueprint for what the party aspires to achieve on a national scale.
