There have been multiple rankings of NFL players this offseason . Most of them view the Minnesota Vikings Justin Jefferson in a level on his own . Some of them do not . Those directly involved with the National Football League know there’s only one right answer.
The decision makes want Minnesota Vikings Justin Jefferson
Before any real football games kick off there is plenty of talk as to who the best players across the league are. Of course the Minnesota Vikings employ one of them in Justin Jefferson. EA Sports didn’t seem to think he was the best wide receiver in the league. The Athletic polled those in the know , coaches and executives, and found a different answer. Of the 26 votes for the best offensive player (non-QB), Jefferson’s nine were first.
It’s not a surprise that Jefferson lost some ground after being shelved for part of the 2023 season. He did still surpass 1,000 yards on the year, and did it with a rag tag group of quarterbacks.
There should be every reasonable expectation that Jefferson again can widen the gap in 2024.
Justin Jefferson is pivotal to Minnesota Vikings success
Of course that is stating the obvious, but the extent that Justin Jefferson can elevate Sam Darnold remains imperative. The wide receiver is in lockstep with his head coach Kevin O’Connell. Jefferson’s relationship with O’Connell helps him to lead on the field, and the team will need that if they are going to exceed expectations in 2024.
This season Jordan Addison has been tabbed as a name to watch. His second year in the league could represent a big step forward. That would be impressive for a player that posted 911 yards across 14 starts as a rookie. If Jefferson can draw the defensive attention and still generate production, then everyone else stands to benefit as well.
