The Minnesota Vikings are in the midst of their bye week and remain undefeated . After a victory against the New York Jets , they returned from London having never lost in England. Despite long odds to start the season , each week brings them closer to a level of favoritism.

Playoff odds begin to tip in Minnesota Vikings favor

Although the Minnesota Vikings won’t have an opportunity to advance their odds personally this week, those around them will create a shuffle. As the Vikings sit idle, they are in great shape to make it to the postseason. Upon getting there, this team has already displayed a potential to pull upsets and make some noise .

Sportsbook Playoffs Super Bowl Title Position
    FanDuel -700 +1200 7th
    DraftKings -1000 +1100 5th

There is some general consensus between two of the largest sportsbooks in America. Both FanDuel and DraftKings see the Minnesota Vikings as likely playoff participants. That’s not shocking considering their undefeated status through five weeks. Of course they’ll need to nearly double the win total if they are truly going to make postseason play.

Should the Vikings get into the playoffs, they’ll still face a substantial test if they are going to win it all. It’s one thing for Sam Darnold to keep getting the job done during the regular season , but it’s another when everything is on the line. Curiously, Draft Kings has the San Francisco 49ers ahead of Minnesota. Maybe they forgot the Vikings existed just like Kirk Herbstreit . FanDuel actually has both the 49ers and Houston Texans with better odds.

Your chances of getting long odds for the Vikings to grab a ring, much less make the playoffs, are all but over at this point. There’s a decent payout on a $100 bet ($1,200), but Minnesota is hardly considered a longshot at this point. That’s what happens when you avoid a loss for five weeks. The bad news for bettors waiting to jump is that the schedule opens up as well.

Minnesota isn’t going to run the table, but a double-digit win tally should be well within reach the rest of the way.
