Donation helps fund law enforcement fitness center

Minnetrista Police Department has partnered with Lifetime Fitness to build an onsite fitness facility, a step in promoting the health and well-being of law enforcement personnel.

A very generous anonymous donation of $200,000 earmarked for police officer wellness from a Minnetrista resident helped to financially support this endeavor.

The project kicked off in late 2023 and included the completion of approximately 2,640 square feet of unfinished space within the existing Police facility for the fitness center and three offices. There was a relatively quick three-month timeline for the project’s completion to meet the wellness needs of our police force. Not only did Lifetime Fitness donate their time and effort to make this possible, they donated nearly all of the exercise equipment.

Minnetrista Police Department would like to thank the anonymous resident for the generous donation, without who’s support we would not be able to complete this project. We would also like to thank Bahram Akradi, Minnetrista resident and Founder & CEO of Lifetime Fitness, and his team for making this project possible.

This initiative not only benefits individual officers but also contributes to building a stronger and healthier police force, ultimately fostering a positive and resilient law enforcement community. This collaborative effort between the Minnetrista Police Department and Lifetime Fitness reflects a proactive approach to addressing the needs of our law enforcement officers.
