103rd Annual Marshall-Putnam Fair Now Less Than A Week Away
With the 4th of July now in the rear-view mirror, it's time to dive into fair season. The 103rd Marshall-Putnam Fair in Henry officially kicks off Sunday and goes until Saturday the 21st. The week-long party will include: a concert featuring Tracy Lawrence and Confederate Railroad; a demolition derby; truck and tractor pulls; a 5K; a cook-off contest; and of course livestock and fine arts judging.
Streator Men Tracked Down After Skipping Out On Court Dates
A couple guys from Streator spent part of their holiday weekend behind bars. On Saturday afternoon, officers found 37-year-old Jamie Tullar at a Streator gas station. He was wanted on a warrant for missing a court date on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. Tullar was taken to the La Salle County Jail.

A man remains hospitalized in a Peoria hospital following a late Saturday night shooting in the first block of South Cherry Street. According to a new release, Galesburg Police responded to a report of a shooting in the first block of South Cherry Street around 11:48 p.m. Saturday.
