MINOT, N.D.– While most kids spend their summer sleeping in all day and staying up all night, eighth grader and Minot High School Majette wrestler Madisyn Racine has been putting in work all summer long, as she just finished 9-0 in the 2024 Womens National Duals held in Westfield, Indiana.

Wrestling with the High School girls during the regular season, Racine is a force to be reckoned with. With a 9-0 performance in nationals, Racine was able to pick-up All-American honors, and she made the all-tournament team. With all of her hard work and dedication, Racine says that it was a 360 turnaround from the last time she competed in nationals.

“I was very proud of myself because last year I only went 4-4, but that was in Oklahoma, and I was very proud with how all the girls wrestled and there was a lot of people there”, said Madisyn Racine.

” She takes that leadership role on and really prepares herself the way she needs to especially being able to go 9-0 at a national tournament like that. She talks about how proud she is, but she also doesn’t talk about the amount of work that she puts in and everything that led her up to the success that she had as an individual”, said Head Coach Mitch Meyer.
