MINOT, ND ( KXNET ) — A local restaurant and bar recently closed its doors to the public and its members.

1685 , inside the Minot Country Club , announced its sudden closure on Facebook on Monday.

The restaurant had been open for a little more than a year, after taking over the space from the previous restaurant, Elevation.

The closing post read, “It’s with a heavy heart and a spark of excitement we share 1685 is leaving the Country Club for a new forever home.”

They also explained on Facebook that gift cards can be redeemed at Arny’s 2.0 Lounge and Bottle Shop , until 1685’s new permanent location is ready.

Even with the restaurant moving out abruptly, the Minot Country Club announced two days later on its Facebook page , that a new bar will be opening inside for Club members. It’s called, ‘The Bar at Minot Country Club,’ and is being serviced by Sports on Tap, a popular bar in Minot.

According to the Facebook post, the new bar is currently open with a limited drink menu and is only taking cash for now. But Country Club leaders say to stay tuned for more exciting updates.
