1: Man arrested at parent’s home after hiding in a slough . Deputies say it happened on July 3 when they were called to a property along Highway 6 south of Mandan. A woman told deputies a man was at his parent’s home and

2: Man dies in tractor crash near Hettinger . A 62-year-old man was driving a Mack tractor while towing a hay grinder on US Highway 12 at the intersection of Highway 8 when the tractor went into the ditch and rolled. The man was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries.

3: Arrests made in Minot hit-and-run . According to Minot Police, an argument early Monday night over money in a southwest Minot business parking lot led drivers of two cars to repeatedly smash into each other in the parking lot. During the fight, a woman was hit by one of the vehicles.

4. North Dakota police remind vehicle owners to lock it before they lose it . According to the available data, in 2023, there were more than one million vehicles stolen in the U.S. That means that a motor vehicle is stolen every 31 seconds. And one study found that over the last decade, North Dakota has seen the third largest increase in vehicle theft in the country.

5. Funnel clouds spotted in western and central North Dakota . Funnel clouds were reported early on the afternoon of July 6. They weren’t associated with severe thunderstorms in the area at the time, but were instead originating from showers and thunder showers throughout the western and central regions of North Dakota.
