MINOT, ND ( KXNET ) — A man arrested for another man’s killing in Minot is now being held on a $2 million bond.

On Friday, Delon Davis appeared in Ward County Court to face charges that he was responsible for the shooting death of Mark McMillan.

Police say after looking through social media and cell phone records, they believe Davis and McMillan had an ongoing feud over stolen drugs.

Earlier this month, officers found McMillan’s body wrapped up in an air mattress in the basement of a building in Minot. They say he was shot twice in the chest.

McMillan was last seen alive in April and was part of a search by law enforcement for months.

Police say when they questioned Davis, he told them he shot McMillan because he said McMillan and another man showed up at the building and shot at him first.

Davis then said he dumped the gun into a garbage can at a nearby gas station, but he then called a friend to go get the gun.

Davis told officers he wrapped up McMillan’s body to hide it but then used Pine-Sol to clean up blood at the scene.

Davis is being charged with murder, tampering with evidence, and felony theft. Police also say he lied to officers.

Davis has a preliminary hearing on August 29.
