MINOT, ND ( KXNET ) — Cowboys from all over America are set to compete against one another at the Bull Riding Challenge and Ranch Bronc Riding event.

It starts at 7 p.m. in Arena 1 In the Bronc riding event, cowboys will be judged on their ability to stay on the Bronco as well as the Bronco’s bucking ability.

Officials say many of these broncos are young and have never had riders on them before which will make for an exciting show.

“Musbrucker rodeo company tends to their bloodline of bucking horses. It’s like raising hunting dogs that really want to hunt. These horses have a genetic instinct to jump high and kick and they like it and that’s what they do” said Randy Taylor, the rodeo announcer.

In the Bull Riding Challenge, 27 riders from around the world are looking to claim the event’s cash prize.

Riders will compete against each other each riding a bull, hoping to stay on for eight seconds, which is a perfect score. The event starts at 7 p.m. in Arena 1.

Taylor says this rodeo attracts some of the nation’s top cowboys.

“We have bull riding contestants coming from all over the United States, Canada, and Australia to vie for the cold hard cash, Mosbrucker Bucking Bulls bring some of the best animal athletes in the business,” said Taylor.

On Wednesday evening, the Ranch Rodeo will be happening at 7 p.m., in the All Seasons Arena.

It’s a very unique event where the events are based on typical ranch hand tasks like wild cow milking and trailer loading.
