National Honor Society students at Gray Stone Day School recently sponsored a Fun for Funds fundraiser to support the future athletic fields.

Students raised more than $3,300 at the event that featured games, inflatables, food trucks and a silent auction. Club members collected more than 30 donations from local retailers, restaurants and small business owners.

One of the highlights of the evening included teachers and staff members participating in the much-anticipated dunk booth.

“An event like this requires coordination, cooperation and a lot of time. I’m so proud of these students for executing such a well-planned event. I’m very appreciative for the support from our families and local businesses who donated items,” said Heather Ferguson, club advisor.

NHS club members Grace Eppehimer, June Barney, James Bristol and Matayah Grubbs served as the organizers of the event.

“We take pride in our school and working as a team to put this together was a lot of fun and a success overall. I hope this can be an annual event,” said Eppehimer.
