Here's the latest retail and restaurant news from Market Basket:

Bob's Discount Furniture plans to open its newest store at 9 a.m. Monday, July 29 at 435 E. University Drive, Mishawaka. The store is moving into the space that was most recently occupied by buybuy Baby, which closed about a year ago in the University Crossings plaza. Bob's Discount, which was founded in 1991, operates 178 stores in 24 states and is the nation's ninth largest furniture retailer. A grand-opening celebration is set for Aug. 30, with a ribbon cutting, a charitable check presentation and other festivities scheduled. The company says it offers "stylish, quality furnishings, mattresses and home accents." It also offer a free in-store cafe for its customers.

    ■ The opening of the South Bend Public House at the Indiana Dinosaur Museum complex on the west side of South Bend has been delayed about a week because of a permit delay. The restaurant, which will offer a menu similar to the Howard Park and Mishawaka Public House restaurants, is now slated to open around Aug. 15.
