Although the All-Michigan team of Wesley Dean and Ryan Halstead led for about 13 hours of the race, it was Davis and Blais able to get the come from behind victory.

“It was hard going by Wes and Ryan at the end in the shape they were in, but we put on the race we needed to get to the finish line, and I couldn’t be more happy,” said Davis. “I‘m very happy and with the win, it’s my second time it’s a hard race I think is a very close race. So, I’m very happy to win here and win with Mike, he is a very good partner.” Said Blais

The two of them paddled together last year, finishing in third place.
