A Long Island woman, identified as Isis Navarro Reyes, also known as Beraly Navarro, faces serious charges after being accused of smuggling and selling counterfeit versions of weight loss drugs, including Ozempic, via TikTok. Reyes was apprehended on Wednesday, facing multiple charges including smuggling, receiving misbranded drugs, and dispensing prescription drugs without a prescription. According to the criminal complaint, between November 2022 and November 2023, Reyes utilized TikTok to market and sell what she claimed were legitimate weight loss medications such as Ozempic, Axcion, and Mesotherapy. She posted numerous videos describing how these drugs should be used, sharing her purported personal experiences with them, including their side effects and efficacy. The complaint further details that Reyes engaged with customers through encrypted messaging apps, offering these drugs without requiring prescriptions. Her activities came to a head in December 2023 when she began unknowingly negotiating with an undercover officer. She instructed the officer on how to purchase the drugs, accepting $375 without asking for a prescription, and subsequently mailed a package supposedly containing Ozempic from a post office in Shirley, Long Island. The officer later confirmed the drugs were counterfeit. In a related and disturbing case highlighted by prosecutors, a woman who purchased the fake drugs from Reyes suffered severe health consequences. After administering 28 injections of a substance sold as Mesofrance, which was labeled in a foreign language, she developed a serious infection identified as mycobacterium abscessus, a condition typically linked to contaminated medical products. The New York Department of Health confirmed the presence of rapidly growing, nontuberculous mycobacteria in the vials used by the victim. Reyes now potentially faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted, signaling a stern warning against the illegal and unsafe distribution of pharmaceuticals. Her legal representation has not been disclosed as the case progresses.

Her negligence on the app isn’t the apps fault. She could’ve very well had been selling on FB IG or X. And none of those are banned. #jerkoff
