Two-car accident at Bear Country shuts down Highway 16
There were major tie-ups on Highway 16 west of Rapid City early this Saturday afternoon following a two-car accident at Bear Country. “Walk 250 Miles By 2026” Effort Launched
(Pierre, SD) — America’s 250th South Dakota Commission is launching a new event in celebration of our nation’s founding. It’s called “Walk 250 miles by 2026.” The goal is to complete 250 miles of outdoor exercise while visiting historic locations throughout the state,” according to the director of the South Dakota State Historical Society, Dr. Ben Jones. He says participants have from July 4th, 2024, to July 4th, 2026, to complete the challenge. Details are on the state Historical Society’s website: history.sd.gov.
