Houston Man, Along with his Dog, Dies in Car Accident

A Houston man lost his life due to a car crash when his truck left the road and struck a tree early Friday morning around 7 am. The accident occured just east of Houston near the Buena Vista area, on County Road 406 in Chickasaw County.

This particular road is located between Buena Vista and Egypt, and it is also known as Aberdeen Road.

Calvin Carodine, 53, was the victim named by the Chickasaw County Coroner Larry Harris. In addition, Carodine's dog had been traveling in the pickup with him and also tragically died as a result of the accident.
