Starkville Shooting Leads to Drug Arrest

The Starkville Police Department responded to a shooting at Ferndale Apartments on Lynn Lane during the early hours of Friday morning. One person was flown out of the area to be treated.

The suspect and victim, according to Starvkville PD, knew each other prior to the shooting. Arrested was Danterius Nichols, a 22 year old from Starkville, for aggravated assault and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Nichols is being held at the Oktibbeha County Jail.
