    Former Employee Burglary of Tupelo Commercial Building

    Tupelo officers responded to a burglary of a commercial building on September 3, 2024.

    The burglary occured at 2027 McCullough Blvd., Magnolia Brick. According to a press release from Tupelo Police Department, officers were informed at arrival that a former employee was responsible. The former employee entered the business and stole money from the office area.

    Upon continuing investigation, on September 5, 2024, James O. Norfleet was arrested and charged with burglary of a commercial building.

    According to the press release, on September 6, 2024, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen ordered Norfleet, 58, of Tupelo, to be hold on a $5,000 bond. These charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
