    Three Suspects Charged in Robinsonville Murder

    Three suspects have been officially charged in the murder of Vandarren McCray.

    McCray, 38, was shot multiple times before dying at Kirby Estates Apartments in Robinsonville, MS, on Monday, September 2, 2024.

    According to a press release from the Tunica County Sheriff's Office, the suspects charged are Jarvis Grant, Tanio Hall, and Tavion Crutchfield. Grant, 32, was arrested on September 6 and charged with murder and conspiracy. Hall, 30, was arrested on September 4 and charged with murder and conspiracy. Crutchfield, 23, was arrested on September 4 and charged with accessory after the fact and conspiracy.

    On September 2, 2024, a 911 call was made to the Tunica County Sheriff's Office. The call stated that an individual had been shot at 2669 Kirby Road in Robinsonville, MS. First responders and sheriff deputies were dispatched to the scene, where they located a male subject with gunshot wounds. The male was pronounced dead after succumbing to his injuries, according to the police report.

    On September 4, an arrest warrant was served at Kirby Estates Apartments. Two males were taken into custody with warrants from Texas and Louisiana. Tanio Hall's outstanding warrant was from Texas for weapon offense and failure to appear. Crutchfield's outstanding warrant was from Louisiana for false imprisonment, battery of dating partner- child endangerment.

    The death of Vandarren McCray is still under investigation. Individuals with information are encouraged to contact the Tunica County Sheriff's Office.
