    Record Breaking Alligator Harvested on Pascagoula River

    Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks program coordinator Andrew Arnett certifed a record breaking female alligator on September 8th, 2024.

    The alligator, taken on the Pascagoula River by Jason Ullendorf, was 11 feet and 3/4 inches long. According to a press release from the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, the previous record was held by an alligator nearly a foot shorter. The alligator weighed 324 pounds, while her belly girth was thirty seven inches and tail girth was thirty two inches.

    According to the press release, the alligator was harvested by hunter Jason Ullendorf as part of the 2024 alligator season.
