Francine will move into Mississippi overnight. Damaging winds of up to 65 miles per hour are expected, as well as heavy rainfall. According to MEMA, some areas in the southern portion of Mississippi might see up teo ten inches of rain.

Residents should follow the guidelines for any evacuation orders that might be given locally. Residents are also encouraged to prepare a go-kit and have an evacuation plan ready in the event it is needed.

More information will be updated regarding Hurricane Francine as it is made available. Those concerned are also advised to continue to remain alert and monitor weather forecasts.
