Missing Child from Canton Found in Pond

The body of Kaleb Jamison, age four, was found in in a pond near his father's apartment complex.

According to Darkhorse Press, Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker released the news Wednesday morning, September 11th, that the body recovered overnight had been identified as Kaleb Jamison.

Kaleb was seen on his father's doorbell camera wandering away from the apartment, which began the large-scale search for the young child. The surrounding community also came together to assist with searching for Kaleb, who was autistic.

Tucker said that agents from all of central Mississippi were on hand during the search for Kaleb. A dive team discovered the child's body in floating grass a few feet from the bank.

Resources have been made available to Kaleb's family to help begin the grieving process, according to Darkhorse Press. The Law Enforcement Alliance for Peer Support has been made aware of the situation and will be available to assist first responders.
