Currently, according to Reeves, an approximation of 51,000 are without power. This number has decreased from a high of 64,000.

Central and coastal areas are seeing some road closures due to flooding. Local emergency managers will begin assessing for damage this morning, September 12.

A significant amount of heavy rain is still expected for the remainder of Thursday, and Reeves encourages Mississippians to remain vigilant in monitoring the weather for any changes.
