Tunica Co Sheriff's Office Mourns Loss of Director of Communications

Tunica County is mourning the loss of an important woman from its community.

Mrs. Miriam Crawford-Kimble, director of Communication and Administrator of the Tunica County Sheriff's Office, has passed away, according to a press release from Tunica County Sheriff's Office.

The post, made to the Tunica County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, has since been flooded with comments from those remembering Mrs. Crawford-Kimble fondly and praying for her loved ones.

In her twenty years employed with the Sheriff's Office, Director Kimble worked in many roles, including receptionist, records clerk, dispatcher, dispatch trainer, NIBRS coordinator, Domestic Violence coordinator, Victims of Crime advocate, and the Director of Communications/Dispatch.

Kimble also served on the Tunica County Election Commission.

Tunica County Sheriff's Department describes Kimble as "an integral part" of their office, stating that she knew the mechanics of their entire agency.

Funeral service arrangements will be announced at a later time when the information is released.
