    Aberdeen Man Arrested for Making Terroristic Threats

    A Facebook post that appeared to be threatening sport event attendees has led to the arrest of a man from Aberdeen, Mississippi.

    According to a press release from Amory Police Department, the officers with the department were made aware of a post on Facebook that appeared to be a threat. The threat was directed at attendees of an upcoming athletic event.

    After Amory Police Department consulted the Assistant District Attorney's Office as well as the Mississippi Department of Homeland Security, Rashad Contrell Pargo, of Aberdeen, was placed under arrest for making terroristic threats.

    Pargo is currently being held in the Monroe County Adult Detention Center.

    The press release from Amory Police Department states, "The safety of our citizens is not a subject we take lightly. As such, we take all threats of violence aimed at our community seriously and will continue to prosecute such threats accordingly."
