Monroe County Man Charged After Strangling Spouse

On the evening of Sunday, September 22, 2024, the Criminal Investigation Division's Special Victims Unit of Pontotoc County Sheriff's Department arrested a man from Monroe County for domestic violence.

Johnathan Craig Wren, fifty three years old, was arrested and charged with domestic violence- aggravated assault.

The Special Victims Unit arrested Wren after an investigation into an event that took place on Thursday, September 12, 2024.

The event, which took place in the early morning hours, involved the suspect strangling his spouse in the Spain Road area, according to a press release from Pontotoc County Sheriff's Department.

The suspect was arrested and a bond of $10,000 was set by a Pontotoc County Justice Court Judge.

No I am not saying what this man did strangling his wife/girlfriend ok because it is not. She should have beat his ass with a cast iron skillet while it was still hot.

But Sheriff Anthony Chancellor in Clarke County Mississippi can beat his wife after she catches him cheating in a camper, has his Deputy Barry White to throw spikes to keep her from going to the hospital and has not been arrested but says it's a personal matter between him and his wife.
