Two Arrested for Stealing Firearm from the Dead in Tunica County Wreck

The Tunica County Sheriff's Office responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Casino Strip Extended and Kirby Road in Robinsonville that involved two vehicles on Monday.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damage, and both drivers, Nicholas Paul Stafford, 29, of Tate County, and Ruby Gene Watney, 36, also of Tate County, were killed in the accident.

While investigating the accident, it was discovered that a firearm had been stolen from the scene of the accident. The firearm was recovered, and two individuals were arrested.

Jonathan Parr & Christina Brumback were arrested and booked into custody of the Tunica County Jail, according to the Tunica County Sheriff's Department.

Parr, 59, of Hernando, has been charged with possession of a stolen firearm and felon in possession of a stolen firearm.

Brumback, 42, of Hernando, is being charged with accessory after the fact.
