Harrison County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Unit Investigators were conducting surveillance on the three individuals and the silver Honda Accord in which they were riding. The surveillance began in Biloxi and continued into D'iberville, according to a press release by Chief Shannon Nobles.

At the intersection of Rodriguez Street and Gorenflo Road, one of the occupants of the vehicle opened fire and shot a handgun at the investigators' vehicle. A Harrison County Sheriff's Department Investigator sustained injuries to the head and face when a bullet hit the windshield, but the injuries were fortunately not life-threatening.

Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain set bond for each of the men at $250,000. They are currently in custody at Harrison County Adult Detention Facility.

More information on this case will be released as it becomes available.
