    Nettleton Man Charged with Burglary of a Vehicle

    Tupelo Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Van Buren Avenue and Tyler Drive on September 26, 2024. The call was regarding a male subject attempting to break into multiple vehicles.

    When the officers arrived at the area, they made contact with several property owners. The owners reported that the male suspect, identified as Tiyosha L. Pratt, was seen pulling on the door handles of multiple cars.

    According to a press release from Tupelo Police Department, the suspect was located nearby by the police officers and was arrested. He was arrested on unrelated charges.

    Later on September 26, after more investigation occured, the police also charged Pratt, age 27, of Nettleton with five counts of burglary of a vehicle.

    On September 27, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Sumber revoked a previous bond for Pratt, who had been out on bond for burglary of a vehicle at the time of the arrest. His case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
