Oxford PD Arrest Two Men in Connection with String of Burglaries

Two men from Oxford have been arrest by Oxford Police Department in connection with a slew of vehicular thefts and burglaries.

According to Oxford Police Department, the officers responded to a call about a motor vehicle theft on the 2000 Block of Heritage Drive on September 24th, 2024.

During the investigation that followed, evidence revealed that Caleb Carrothers, age 22, and Demarcus Govan, age 20, were connected to several vehicle thefts and had removed personal items from multiple vehicles.

On September 29, two additional reports of vehicle theft were reported, further solidifying Carrothers and Govan as the suspects of the series of thefts.

Carrothers and Govan, both of Oxford, have each been charged with commercial burglary, two counts of motor vehicle theft, and three counts of conspiracy to commit a crime.
