Two Bodies Found in Meridian Identified by Coroner

Monday, October 7th, a body was found inside an abandoned car wash at a Valero Gas station in Meridian. The body of the deceased as been identified as Theresa Belvin, age fifty two.

Belvin's cause of death remains unknown at this time. An autopsy will be done and the cause of death will be released at that time, according to Lauderdale County Coroner Stella McMahan.

Another body was discovered in Meridian on September 29th. The deceased was lying in a yard at the 2100 block of 41st Avenue.

The body has been identified as James Williams, age fifty six. According to the Coroner, the cause of Williams's death was a gunshot wound.

The two deaths do not appear to be related.
