    Officer from MS Found in Patrol Car, Passed Out with Meth Pipe in Hand

    Yazoo City Police officers have reported finding a fellow Mississippi officer passed out in a patrol car.

    The officer, identified as James Jackson of Belzoni, was arrested on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

    According to WJTV, Jackson was found with a meth pipe in his hand. Yazoo City Police Chief Terry Gann said that Jackson refused to undergo a sobriety test. A search of the patrol car revealed that an unspecified amount of marijuana was in the glove box.

    Jackson was charged with both possession of paraphernalia and DUI- Refusal. He has been released on bond.
