Friends of Tishomingo State Park to Host Clean Up Day

The organization Friends of Tishomingo State Park are hosting a Work Day on Saturday, October 12th to contribute to the ongoing effort to keep Tishomingo State Park beautiful.

The work day event begins at 9:00. Participants will be pitching in to clean up the exterior of the dining hall, as well as the ampitheater area.

According to a Facebook post from Friends of Tishomingo State Park, the goal is to see how much of a difference can be made in one day through this group effort.

Participants are encouraged to bring hand tools such as rakes, hand saws, hammers, leaf blowers, and more. Attendants are also cautioned that they should be prepared to get dirty, and should wear work clothes, work gloves, and bring water.
