    Louisville Woman Accused of Killing a Teacher in DUI Collison Pleads Not Guilty

    Jordan Leah Sullivan, who was accused of killing a teacher in a June 2024 DUI crash, has pled not guilty to the charge.

    In September of 2024, a Grand Jury indicted Sullivan on the charge of aggravated DUI. On October 7, Sullivan pled not guilty.

    According to WJTV, the tragic crash occured on Saturday, June 22, 2024 in Gluckstadt. Police reported that Sullivan's vehicle was traveling the wrong way, southbound in the northbound lanes on I-55, when she struck a vehicle traveling northbound head-on.

    The victim, Tyra Small-Jackson, was a teacher in with the Canton Public School District, and taught at Nichols Middle School. She had previously won Teacher of the Year for the 2023-2024 school year, according to school district officials.

    The victim had to be removed from her car and passed away from her injuries. Other passengers in the vehicle received non-life threatening injuries.

    Gluckstadt Police stated that Sullivan had a previous DUI arrest.
