Man from Jackson Charged on Drug and Gun Charges Near Church

A man from Jackson has been arrested after Jackson Police Department has charged him with gun and drug charges.

The Jackson Police Department Narcotics Unit conducted a search warrant on Wacaster Street, near the 100 Block. As a result, John Thomas, age thirty two, was arrested.

Thomas was charged with possession of cocaine with a firearm with intent within 1500 feet of a church, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of marijuana with a firearm.

The investigation into Thomas's case is currently ongoing.
