The Caledonia and Steens areas of Lowndes County experienced a rash of break ins on July 6th and 7th, 2024. Sweetie's Cafe and Dewie's Bake Shop, both in Caledonia, were broken into on the morning of Saturday, July 6th. Cash was reportedly stolen from both businesses.

On the morning of Sunday, July 7th, the Old Country Store was burglarized, where the suspect stole cash before getting away. Security footage from these break ins allowed the detectives to ascertain Spencer's identity.

An attempt was made to arrest Spencer at his residence, but he escaped from the home. Spencer has been on the run for months. He had been on probation for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

On October 10th, Spencer was at home when he was found and arrested. He will face three counts of burglary of a business, as well as probation violation charges.

Spencer has a bond of $30,000 and is presently in custody at Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
