    Jackson PD Charges a Woman with Drive-by Shooting and Aggravated Assault

    A woman has been arrested by officers with the Jackson Police Department after she allegedly fired shots from a vehicle on I-220.

    According to Jackson Police Department Detective Tommie Brown, the suspect was driving a vehicle described as a blue 2006 Honda Accord. The drive-by incident occured on Tuesday, October 15th on I-220 near Industrial Drive.

    Brown stated that the officers were dispatched to speak with a person at the Time Saver gas station on Hanging Moss Road. The individual's vehicle had reportedly been shot during the incident.

    The vehicle and its driver were located, and the suspect was taken to Jackson Police Department for questioning regarding the incident.

    The suspect, Angelic Bernard, age 24, was arrested and charged with drive-by shooting and aggravated assault. Detective Brown stated that she confessed to the shooting.
