Baldwyn Man Arrested, Charged with Assault and Malicious Mischief

A Baldwyn man has been arrested for a case of road rage that led to vehicle damage and assault.

On September 18th, 2024, patrol officers with Booneville Police Department responded to a call reporting property damage on East Chambers Drive.

According to a press release from Booneville Police Department, the person who called in the complaint reported they had been involved in a road rage incident. In the incident that occured, the complainant sustained damage to their vehicle as well as physical assault.

The suspect was identified as Andrew Thomas Shuffield, age thirty two, of Baldwyn. The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division, and Shuffield was arrested on October 16th, 2024.

Shuffield was charged with one misdemeanor count of simple assault and one felony count of malicious mischief for damages sustained to the vehicle that valued more than $2,000.

Shuffield's bond was set at $5,000 for the felony charge. His case will be presented to the Prentiss County Grand Jury.
